Remote Online Notarization is here, and we're ready!
Don’t let your deal fall-thru because you can’t get your documents notarized! Remote Online Notarization is happening NOW, and at AppleTower we are ready to make your deals happen!
In today’s video, we bring you a step-by-step guide on how this process works and what you’ll need to get your “Touchless” Closing in place.
The process is very simple and involves 3 main steps:
1. Activate and register your account: Once we upload the documents into our Remote Online Notarization platform you will receive an email with instructions on how to activate your account. Simply follow the steps on that email to get you started.
2. Review and accept your documents: We upload all documents to be executed at closing and you will be notified via email to review and accept these. Simply click the link on that email, which will take you right to the transaction, you will authenticate and then you have the chance to review each document. If you agree with all the documents, simply click accept and we will move into the next step which is the closing session.
3. The Closing Session: This step contains several authentication layers before the process is complete:
Showing your IDs to the webcam for the notary to verify that the person in the ID is the person that is actually present at the web meeting.
Then you're going to get a text message requesting a copy of that ID to be verified by our RON provider.
Answering personal questions – The party needs to answer 5 particular questions. (Example: What color was your 2002 Nissan Altima?)
Once the party completes these 3 simple steps, we're ready to start the signing session, and is just a matter of stamping electronic signatures and of notarizing remotely.
And just like that, the closing is done in a few minutes!
At AppleTower Title & Escrow we work very hard to offer you the most useful tools to keep you
